Here was an instance where all fiduciaries performed as they were supposed to. The trust sought to diversify its assets so the beneficiaries wouldn’t be too dependent on a single stock. The management and board of Hershey, acceding to the desires of a controlling shareholder, initiated and aggressively pursued a process that likely would have resulted in their losing their own jobs. The investment banker pursued and rounded up a highly attractive offer.

Russell Crow is looking like

Russell Crow is looking like a real dork.

First, he acts up in a bar and is restrained in a headlock by a woman until he calms down.

More recently, he tried to pick a fight in a bar with a couple of guys and would likely have gotten his ass kicked had his personal trainer not bailed him out. His trainer, by the way, is a woman.

I think he should just give up on the whole tough guy thing, because it obviously isn’t working for him.

The Bush administration has begun a broad restructuring of the scientific advisory committees that guide federal policy in areas such as patients’ rights and public health, eliminating some committees that were coming to conclusions at odds with the president’s views and in other cases replacing members with handpicked choices.
Kind of reminds me of the way the soviet union acted. Wonder how they are doing these days.
