What is your alternative? That we sit back like we did in World War II and wait and wait while our enemies gain on us and continue to undermine us – only fighting at the last desperate second when it will require a nationwide conscription of every healthy male?
Peace is not possible unless both sides want it. The other does not. We have no alternative to fighting.
Who are our enemies? How shall we fight them? How shall we win? What kind of peace will we win? At what cost?
I don’t trust the present administration, or the present congress, to answer any of those questions based on past performance.
